OREANDA-NEWS. The Government of Belarus has prepared offers to improve the system of supporting state-run manufactures, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov told deputies of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus on October 26, reported the Official website www.government.by.

In his words, the Government proposes to stop giving preferences to all the companies but to fund promising innovation projects in accordance with the international standards and approaches of the World Trade Organization.

Relevant documents have been submitted for consideration of the head of state. In line with the documents, every year the maximum volume of financial support of state-run companies will be fixed and a list of priority countrywide and local programmes will be compiled.

Speaking about the measures taken by the Government to improve the financial state of some companies in general, Andrei Kobyakov said that a systematic monitoring of implementation of business plans by the companies was in progress. He noted that regardless some difficulties in foreign trade Belarus managed to cut the number of loss-making companies recently.
