OREANDA-NEWS. On October 26, 2007 Rosenergoatom was represented by Acting Director General Alexander Lokshin, the deputy directors general and the heads of the departments for scientific-technical policy, operation, personnel management, safety control and international activities as well as Director General of Atomtekhenergo Eduard Saakov, the head of the Department of Prices, Tariffs and Cost Management of Atomenergoprom Alla Arkhangelskaya, reported the press-centre of Rosenergoatom.

EDF was represented by Head of Nuclear Affairs Bernard Roche, directors for international projects, science and international activities as well as directors of DIN/SEPTEN projects.

Rosenergoatom Acting Director General Alexander Lokshin opened the meeting. He told the French colleagues about Rosenergoatom’s plans and the reforms that are taking place in Rosatom. 

He said: “In the last years electricity consumption in Russia has grown much quicker than planned and now we need to build new power plants in order to meet the growing demand. The reforms are supposed to help us to make our growth more dynamic, to avoid red tape and to manage the industry more effectively.”

The parties presented their new projects and solutions in the spheres of inspection, engineering and personnel management and discussed their plans for 2008.
