OREANDA-NEWS. The Azerbaijani State Caspian Shipping Company will purchase new ferry to transport of trains to the Caspian Sea by the end of 2007, Aydin Bashirov, the head of the company, said on 30 October.

Bashirov did not detail the fee and seller of ferries. The new ferries will be used only for transport of trains, including dry gas, light and heavy sea products.

The new ferry will be able to transport 52 trains. The present ferries of the Company are able to transport only 28 trains.
 
The negotiations are held with Croatian vessel constructed enterprises for construction of new ferries by order of the Azerbaijani State Caspian Shipping Company. The Croatian enterprises proposed to construct one ferry in 2010 and three in 2011. The fee of the one ferry is ?29mln. The proposed fee des not satisfy us, Bashirov said.
