OREANDA-NEWS. November 8, 2007. OJSC Sibelektrosetstroy (SESS), a subsidiary of CJSC IES-EnergoStroyEngineering (a business unit of IES-Holding), commissioned the 500 kV "Zarya-Barabinsk-Tavricheskaya" transit power line. The construction was carried out as part of the grid sector reconstruction programme for the Siberian Federal District. The customer for the construction was the Backbone Power Grid of Siberia of OJSC Federal Grid Company of the Unified Energy Systems.

The power line which exceeds 780 km in length ensures power transit from Siberia via the Urals to European Russia and allows interconnecting the power systems of the Novosibirsk and Omsk Regions.

While building the power line, Sibelektrosetstroy specialists implemented a complex crossing over the navigable river Irtysh. To get the power line across the river, they installed enhanced anchor supports and equipped the line at this section with special devices protecting the wires and the rope from vibration.
The "Zarya-Barabinsk-Tavricheskaya" transit power line is a constituent element of the project for the comprehensive development of the power system in Siberia, notes Sergei Suvorov, General Director of CJSC IES-EnergoStroyEngineering.
