OREANDA-NEWS. November 19, 2007. The commission is to start its work on Nov 19. Its objective is to check up if the plant complies with the fire safety standards.

During the inspection, the experts will check up if Leningrad NPP has necessary documentation, if its management and personnel observe fire safety rules, if the plant has carried out all measures planned by Rosenergoatom Concern for the year, if the plant has necessary licenses, if it upgrades and improves its fire prevention and fire response systems, etc.

The experts will also check up what the plant does to train and to cultivate fire safety culture among its personnel, to inform them about fire safety rules and to carry out other measures to improve their fire preparedness.

The last time such an inspection was conducted in the summer 2006.
