OREANDA-NEWS. November 22, 2007. Rompetrol Group Integra Group, a leading Russian oilfield services provider, announces today that its machine building division, OJSC Stromneftemash, has created a new generation of cementing machines. The new mobile pumping equipment, UNBS2 – 600x70, is scheduled for mass production in late 2007 – early 2008.

The new equipment will be used for well casing, sand washing and other flushing and pressurising operations, performed during gas and oil well development and workover. It will be used at Russian oil and gas fields and oversees.

The main competitive advantage of the cementing machine is its economic feasibility. It will require only 2-3 people to operate the system, compared with a team of 20 people required to operate similar older machines on the market. Other advantages include its suitability for the harsh conditions of the Far North and its production time of just 3-7 months. It is also very competitively priced compared to its foreign analogues. Integra Group currently has nine contracted cementing complexes for Gazprom.

At the cementing complex presentation in Kostroma, Andrei Budko, First Deputy General Director for production of Burgaz, Gazprom’s drilling company, commented:

“The equipment created by Stromneftemash is a unique and competitive product, which was completed in a record 10 months. Burgaz has been using Stromneftemash’s equipment for a long time, in particular the KCS-40 cementing complex, which is also a product of cooperation between our specialists. Based on our experience with KCS-40, the new complex has been improved noticeably.

“We are currently considering purchasing a number of cementing complexes as a part of the technical refurbishment at Gazprom.”

Vitaly Tkachev, Executive Vice President of Integra Group, President of Uralmash-VNIIBT, said:

“We have created this cementing complex based on Burgaz’s technical requirements. At the same time I can say that this was not just a mere execution of the Customer’s task. We closely cooperated while developing this complex and we find such form of cooperation very effective in satisfying our Customer’s needs and bringing together the interests of both sides.

“Industrial testing of this new equipment will start in the nearest future at Tyumenburgaz in Urengoy, a branch of Burgaz.”
