The winner of the Russian national stage in the international Entrepreneur Of The Year® Award sponsored by Ernst & Young has been announced, the company's press service.  Alexei Podsokhin, President of ALPI Association of Retail and Agroindustrial Organizations (Krasnoyarsk), was named the winner of the national Entrepreneur Of The Year Contest in Russia at a ceremony held on November 23 in Moscow to honor the finalists for 2007. He was also the winner in the category of Diverse Business Development. In May 2008 Mr. Podsokhin will represent Russia in competing for the World Entrepreneur Of The Year Award in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

Alexei Podsokhin's firm, established in 1996, quickly grew into a large wholesale company supplying food products to Siberia. It served as the foundation of Russia’s largest Agroindustrial Holding Company, ALPI, with a closed-loop manufacturing cycle, encompassing the production of grain, mixed feed, poultry and ready-to-cook foods that are sold through the company’s own chain of hypermarkets.
