OREANDA-NEWS. November 23, 2007. At the last VIIIth Reporting and Electing Conference of Tatneft's young employees Shafagat Takhautdinov, General Director of Tatneft, called the Youth Organization a seven year old child of  the Company, who had managed to achieve quite a lot during a short period of life, reported the press-centre of Tatneft.

The Youth Organization of Tatneft, which currently numbers more than 20 thousand persons, was established in 2000 following the initiative of the youngest workers. The main objective of the association was solving the Company's most pressing problems of the young employees in the framework of a unique collaboration pattern with the leadership of the Trade Union Committee. In the course of the seven years period it strengthened its position and achieved a great deal, both in solving production as well as social issues. For example, the work among the young people in the area of innovations was intensified as well as in the field of invention each year demonstrating a growing number and quality improvement of works presented at scientific conferences. Implementation of mentoring system programs for the young workers was restored. A new section dealing with young workers was included into the Collective Labor Agreement of Tatneft and the rights of the young working people expand every year. The problems of providing housing accommodation are also solved with application of mortgage lending. In short, the Joint Stock Company youth organization managed to achieve mutual benefits for the young people and the Company.

640 delegates elected at the reporting conferences of different divisions attended the Company's Reporting and Electing Conference. Representatives of the Youth Committee reported about the work performed during the landmarking period to 2007 when the Joint Stock Company produced the three billionth ton of crude oil. This was followed by the dialogue between the young employees and the management of the Company. Shortly before the Conference the young workers had posed questions to the top management of the Company at the corporate forum "Shelter", and specially, to Shafagat Takhautdinov, General Director of Tatneft. Subjects raised by the young people were very different, and covered all areas of the Joint Stock Company's activity, in particular, restructuring of the company, social life of the young workers and payment for their labor. There were questions asked in the course of the conference as well. The top managers provided detailed answers to all the questions asked.

Appraising the activities of the youth organization, Shafagat Takhautdinov mentioned: "Its age is similar to the age of a seven year old child: the first year schoolboy, but how much this first year schoolboy has managed to accomplish during his short life!". The General Director also expressed his confidence that the current generation of the young workers will successfully produce the fourth and the fifth billion tons of crude oil: the Company has enough potential for this.

At the conclusion of the conference Chairman of the Youth Committee was elected. Rifdar Khamadyarov, Deputy Manager of Tatneft's Personnel Department, was reelected to the position. However, the Central Board of the young professionals replaced its leader: Yuri Barov, Deputy Manager of the R&D Section in the Scientific and Technological Center replaced Rafael Afletonov in the Chairman of the Board position as the latter one had received a promotion.
