OREANDA-NEWS. On November 28, 2007 the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) presented its program of financing and enhancing energy efficiency (UKEEP) in Kharkiv, reported the Official website www.kmu.gov.ua.

For realization of the program the bank opens a credit line for Ukrainian developers of energy efficient technologies.

According to EBRD representative Anders Lund, for the purpose of realization of this initiative some 100 million EUR has been allocated and will be provided through participating banks UkrExImBank and KreditPromBank. The volume of credit of each adopted project will fluctuate between 3-5 million EUR and participating banks are entitled to increase crediting of the most scaled projects.

All projects automatically participate the EBRD competition for the best energy efficiency project.
