Biography

Alexander Apkaneyev was born in Cheliabinsk in 1960.

In 1983 he graduated from Automated Control Systems Department of Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.

In 1983–1985 he was engineer of the Institute of Administration of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (Moscow).

In 1985–1987 he served in the Soviet army.

In 1987 Apkaneyev was appointed as junior researchers of the Institute of Administration of the Academy of Sciences of USSR.

In 1988–1994 he was engineer and assistant manager of the embassy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

In 1994–1995 he was head of securities department of Kalita Investment-Financial Company.

In 1995–199 Apkaneyev was director general of National Investment Syndicate, deputy director general of Ergomash CJSC.

In 1999–2000 he was financial director, deputy director general of Transneft Trade House Ltd.

In 2000 he was appointed as president of Dortransavto Ltd.

In 2001–2002 Apkaneyev was head of automobile roads department of Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.

In 2002–2004 he was director general of Rosdorleasing FSUE.

In 2004–2006 he was financial director of Unidell-Stroy Ltd.

In 2006 Apkaneyev was appointed as deputy head of department of Directorate for Economy and Corporate Planning of TVEL OJSC.

The same year he was appointed as advisor of the director general, deputy director general-director for economy, deputy director general-director for economy and sales and in 2007 – deputy director general-director for economy, finance and sales of Rosenergoatom Concern.
