OREANDA-NEWS. On November 29, 2007 at meeting Board of Lietuvos Energija AB adopted a resolution to reduce electricity transmission service price and approved LTC2.4/kWh for 2008, i.e. no change compared to this year‘s price, reported the press-centre of Lietuvos Energija AB.

The Board has resolved that the previously confirmed and announced price of TSO service is being reduced by 8 per cent.

”We have reached such a resolution subsequent to discussion of our possibilities – the reduction of prices is possible thanks to the efficient staff work of Lietuvos Energija and extension of electricity export and import contracts, made in November of this year with Energijos Realizacijos Centras UAB under conditions favorable to Lithuania, - says Mr.Rymantas Juozaitis, General Director of Lietuvos Energija AB. According to him, the price is also being reduced at the expense of the company earnings.

The Board of the company after adjusting the draft of electricity transmission price, tariffs and regulations of their application submitted it for inspection and adoption of National Control Commission for Prices and Energy (NCCPE).

The remaining components of transmission price – power reserve service price and public service obligations, compared to the previously announced prices will not change and will respectively account for LTC1.28/kWh and LTC372/kWh (in 2007 this component is a part of electricity generation price). These prices is actually subject not to “Lietuvos Energija”, but to Board resolutions of other entities (power plants) and NCCPE.

Specific prices and tariffs of electricity transmission service and their application regulations will be adopted by NCCPE.
