OREANDA-NEWS. December 3, 2007. In January-October, 2007, Russian seaports handled 376.46 million tonnes of cargo (+7.7%, year-on-year). In the reported period, handling of dry cargo grew by 7%  to 155.24.7 million tonnes, liquid bulk cargo – by 9% to 221.439.6 million tonnes. Stevedoring companies of the North-Western Basin of Russia increased cargo handling by 10.2% to 174.455.7 million tonnes including 67.796.9 million tonnes of dry cargo (+10%), 106.658.8 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+10%).

Stevedoring companies of the Southern Basin of Russia increased cargo handling by 1.5% to 135.803.8 million tonnes including 42.606 million tonnes of dry cargo (+8%) and 93.197.8 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (-1.3%). Stevedoring companies of the Far-Eastern Basin of Russia increased cargo handling by 15.3% to 66.204.8 million tonnes including 44.621.8 million tonnes of dry cargo (similar to that of the previous year), and 21.83 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+68%, year-on-year).
