OREANDA-NEWS. December 05, 2007. Alexey Alexandrov, Assistant Chairman of the Management Board, Head of the Private Banking Service Department of JSCIB “UkrSibbank”:

As the market of services for VIP clients is developing actively, client segmentation issues become of yet higher concern. These are extremely acute for those countries, where the market of asset management services of high net worth clients is developing actively. Surely, we may include all CIS countries in this list.

Naturally, every player on the market of Private Banking is free to set his own requirements to the clients and develops his own segmentation strategy, yet these requirements are to certain extent similar. First of all this is about the amount of assets which a client would like to invest. Currently in Ukraine and other CIS countries the minimum limit is $100 000. The banks are eager to make partnerships with such clients, as they increasingly often would like to invest more substantial amounts into the banks.
