OREANDA-NEWS. December 7, 2007. Ganja Automobile Factory (GanjAz) is to exceed its target figure for this year on assembling six models of MTZ (Berlarus) tractors.

At today’s news conference in Baku Byelorussian ambassador Nikolay Patskevich to Azerbaijan said that in 2007 GanjAz will assemble 500 tractors.

“In the prospect the enterprise is to manufacture not 50% of constituent parts for them. We are also ready for joint production and export of quite new machinery,” the diplomat said.

Until late 2007 GanjAz planned to assemble around 300 tractors. Agrolizing OJSC ordered 382 tractors to GanjAz.

GanjAz’s capacity allows assembling of 1,500-2,000 MTZ tractors and about 1,000 MAZ trucks a year. The factory does not rule out a probability of MAZ bus assembling. Currently it is conducting marketing work to study bus needs and if a market for them is found in Azerbaijan or abroad then GanjAz will start producing buses as well.
