OREANDA-NEWS. December 10, 2007. Construction of an accommodation block for 300 people and an administrative module of the future arc-furnace melting shop was finished at the NZEMP (ESTAR Group) site within the first NZEMP construction stage, UralPolit.ru informed the ESTAR Group press service on December 5.

Design work for high-tech production is underway: layout of the future shop has been approved, foundation pit has been designed, building design is being elaborated. Excavation work will start after completion of the design work and review of project documentation. By that time the necessary metal constructions are to be manufactured.

Equipment will be supplied to the future NZEMP shop alongside the design and construction work. On the 20th of August 40 containers with large dimension cargo were shipped from the OUTOKUMPU plant (Sweden) in the port of Degerfors. The cargo was shipped by sea to St Petersburg and by heavy haulers it to Zlatoust.

The first equipment shipment for NZEMP arrived on September 18. Currently all the large dimension containers with a total weight of 844 t are stored at a special warehouse. 77 oversized cargo units with a weight of 1,108 t were received. Another 55 units are due to be received and stored at the warehouse. A transformer with a total weight of 110 t is expected to arrive in December. Oversized cargo arrives by vehicles from Perm. Custom clearance procedure for the shipped equipment, expert appraisal and checkup are due in spring.

The investment value of the first stage of the project is about ?75 mln.
