OREANDA-NEWS. December 10, 2007. As part of the contract, GRASYS has supplied to OJSC Yuzhny Kuzbass (Mechel Company) two mobile nitrogen stations in the MA series. The supplied nitrogen stations are designated for the provision of explosion and fire safety at the Sibirginskaya mine.

Each of the nitrogen stations supplied for the Sibirginskaya mine are rated to produce 1,000 nmі/hr of 97% nitrogen. These are the highest-capacity nitrogen stations in Russia. Previously, neither Russia, nor CIS has seen any equipment in this class.

Notwithstanding their high capacity, GRASYS stations are compact in size, lightweight, fully automated and highly mobile. The manufacture of GRASYS nitrogen stations was based on the most up-to-date membrane air separation technology. Due to the incorporation of this technology, GRASYS stations combine the compactness (all station equipment is installed on a single platform in a standard container), high performance, reliability and ease of operation. The stations are mounted inside a heated container, which makes it possible to operate them across various climatic zones, including cold and moderate microclimatic regions. Mobile nitrogen stations may be provided in the truck version to be transported to any remote work site.

GRASYS equipment designed for the generation of inert environment and production of gaseous nitrogen is used for the assurance of explosion and fire safety by abandonment of mines, transportation, transfer, and storage of hydrocarbons, testing and purging of pipelines, as well as for process tanks cleaning from accumulated explosive gases.
