OREANDA-NEWS. December 10, 2007. Over the first nine months of 2007, nearly 4 500 000 small domestic appliance units were sold in 45 cities with populations of 100 000 or more, for total sales of 259 million USD, GfK Ukraine's press service reports. This is a 19% increase in the number of units sold and a 37% increase by revenue over the respective indicators for the same period of 2006. Sales volumes increased over all commodity categories. Ukrainians spent most of their money on vacuum cleaners and air conditioners. Such are the results of the durables sales monitoring carried out by GfK Ukraine’s Retail and Technology Panel, in cities of 100 000 or more residents.
