OREANDA-NEWS. December 10, 2007. Within the framework of the bank’s e-channel development plan, Nordea will open a new Internet bank and web page for its Russian customers, reported the press-centre of Nordea Bank.

According to Vahur Kraft, managing director of Nordea Bank, the launch of Russian-language e-channels is a great improvement of the bank’s customer service. “E-channel development is clearly one of Nordea’s priorities. We therefore plan to further contribute to this area and positively surprise our customers with new and flexible solutions. There was a great demand for Russian e-channels, since the share of Russian-speaking customers has rapidly increased in our customer base over the last few years,” Kraft said.

The Russian version of the Internet bank is an innovative and user-friendly solution, allowing customers to conduct all the main bank transactions without leaving the comfort of their homes. The new and improved version of the Internet bank launched in September was originally available only in Estonian and English. The new Internet bank can be accessed by using either the ID card or codes of the code card.

According to Nordea’s Internet bank development director Martin Mark, the launch of the Russian version is an important part of the general e-channel development plan in Nordea. “The Russian version is the next step in the development of the Internet bank, which is sure to continue in the future,” said Mark.
