OREANDA-NEWS. December 11, 2007. The National Electricity Regulation Commission has increased electricity transmission and supply tariffs for the power supply company PES-Energougol starting 01/01/2008.

According to a UNIAN correspondent, the relevant decision was made by the Commission at the meeting on 29/11/2007.

According to this decision, NERC increased the company’s electricity transmission tariff by 19.7% when using 1st class voltage electricity transmission lines (35 kW and above) - to UAH 14.11/MWh and by 32.4% when using 2nd class voltage transmission lines (below 35 kV) – to UAH 65.88/MWh.

NERC has also increased the company’s tariff for electricity supplies to large companies (1st group) by 16.5% to UAH 3.04/MWh and by 16.5% for small consumers (2nd group) to UAH 15.19/MWh.

PES-Energougol OJSC is an associated company of Donbass Fuel-Energy Company. The key function of the company is to distribute electric energy to consumers. The enterprise has over 1000 km of overhead transmission lines and over 380 step-down sub-stations. The enterprise supplies more than 25.5 thousand consumers with electricity.

The Statutory Fund of PES-Energougol OJSC is UAH 10 189 600.

According to data from the Agency for The Development of Stock Exchange Infrastructure, as of November 2006, DTEK Holdings Limited (Cyprus) owned 66.5% of the company’s shares and DTEK Ltd held 15.3%.

In 2005, PES-Energougol OJSC increased its net profit by almost 20%, from UAH 7.081 to 8.480 m, compared with 2004.
