OREANDA-NEWS. On December 11, 2007 at a plenary sitting, the Kazakh Senate ratified the Agreement on encouragement and reciprocal protection of investments between Kazakhstan and Finland, reported the Official website http://en.government.kz.

Kuandyk Bishimbayev, Vice Minister of Industry and Trade, noted that the agreement signed Jan. 9 in Astana seeks to put in place conditions to facilitate investments and develop trade-and-economic as well as scientific and technical cooperation between the two nations.

The agreement sets equal safeguards for the rights of both Kazakh and Finnish investors.
