OREANDA-NEWS. December 17, 2007. Giorgi Goguadze, Director General of People's Bank of Georgia, and Giorgi Kodua, Director General of National Airlines, signed a memorandum on issuing a co-brand card – Avia Card, the bank's press service reported.  Avia Card is a visa plastic card targeted at those consumers who have to fly frequently, both within Georgia and beyond.

Avia Card has all features to meet the needs of a "traveler" consumer. Avia Card is a standard type Visa Classic card.
 
Card holders will be able to buy products/services in 700 000 trade and service centers.  The commission fee for making international transactions both abroad and in Georgia is 0%.  Card holders will have a 5% discount when they buy a plane ticket with the card; if a traveler is a student or at has least 3 family members, the former will get an additional discount - 5%.

When the card holder is abroad, the bank provides automated payment of his/her utilities (Direct Debit).  Card holders will also get a travel insurance policy as a present.
