OREANDA-NEWS. December 17, 2007. According to preliminary estimations of RF Ministry of Transport, Russian seaports handled 412.701.3 million tonnes of cargo in January-November 2007, against 384.754.9 million tonnes in January-November 2006, press center of RF Ministry of Transport reports.

In the reported period, throughput of Russian seaports grew by 27.946.4 million tonnes (+7.3%, year-on-year). Transshipment of dry cargo grew by 10.007.9 million tonnes (+6.3%) to 169.901.3 million tonnes, liquid bulk cargo – by 17.938.5 million tonnes (+8%, year-on-year) to 242.800 million tonnes.

Stevedoring companies of the Nort-Western region of Russia increased cargo transshipment by 9.7% to 191.544.6 million tonnes including 74.635.2 million tonnes of dry cargo (+9.9%, year-on-year), 116.909.4 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+10%, year-on-year).

In the reported period, stevedoring companies of the Southern Basin handled 148.253.1 million tonnes of cargo (+0.8%, year-on-year) including 46.380.7 million tonnes of dry cargo (+6.8%, year-on-year), 101.872.5 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (-1.7%, year-on-year).
In January-November 2007, stevedoring companies of Russia’s Far East handled 72.903.5 million tonnes of cargo (+15.6%, year-on-year) including 48.885.5 million tonnes of dry cargo (+0.6%, year-on-year) and 24.018.1 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+66%, year-on-year).
