OREANDA-NEWS. December 17, 2007. The President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection of Republic of Poland (OCCP) Mr. Marek Niechcial visited the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation (FAS Russia) to hold negotiations with the Head of the FAS Russia Mr. Igor Artemyev, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia. 

The activity of the FAS Russia and the OCCP was discussed during the negotiations. Mr. Artemyev informed about basic changes in the Russian antimonopoly legislation of the recent time. Besides, the main cases of the FAS Russia on cartels and unfair competition were discussed.

Moreover, the Program on cooperation between two authorities for 2008-2010 that defines the key directions of interaction in competition policy sphere was signed. The Program establishes the legal basis for information and experience exchange on different issues of competition policy and enforcement, for organizing study-visits, consultations and other events.

It is necessary to underline that similar Programs on cooperation have been successfully implemented on the permanent basis for more than 10 years after signing on March, 1994 the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Poland on cooperation in the antimonopoly policy sphere that envisages the development of cooperation between our countries in the field of antimonopoly policy and consumer rights protection.
