OREANDA-NEWS. December 13, 2007. Currently, Russian Post has top goal to increase wages for the employees. This statement was made by Acting General Director of FSUE Russian Post A. Konoval at the Session of Bilateral Commission on the project preparation of FSUE Collective Agreement for 2007-2009. It was held December 13, 2007. “All extra profits got in 2007 were directed to increase wages, reported the press-centre of Russian Post.

In 2008 we will hold the range of events on providing worthy wages for postal employees,” he noted.

By 2010 wages should reach the level of average wages in each region. Post implements regional rate from 1st January 2008. Postal employees will earn not less than 60 % of average wages in the region. The rate is planned to increase each quarter.

The participants drew the results of implementing the statutes of collective agreement in 2 to 4 quarters of 2007. Russian Post held large-scale work to perform its liabilities fully without breaches on the agreement and got immense results.

Statistics says that employees used benefits and compensations over 700 thousand times in 2 to 4 quarters of 2007. Given the general number of employees of the enterprise each one got social payments twice within the period mentioned.

Special attention was paid to stimulating postal employees. Over 3, 300 employees of Russian Post were awarded - 2,750 of them got awards of FSUE Russian Post, 552 got official awards of the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications of the RF and 2 governmental awards.

As a result of complex of measures on HR potential development over 70 thousand employees studied for short-term seminars. Over 18 thousand employees upgraded professional level and almost 10 thousand new employees passed vocational training. Approximately 100 persons got secondary professional education and almost 150 got higher one.

Labor safety was also one of the most important matters in 2007. Overall labor safety cost for 2 to 4 quarters amounted over 170 mln rubles.

As to the results of the session, the parties decided to sign additional agreement to the Collective Agreement of FSUE Russian Post stipulating some amendments in the present agreement. It was worked out taking into account the proposals of Russian Post’s employees and the representatives of All-Russian Union Trade of Communications Employees. It aims at improving social protection of the enterprise’s staff.
