OREANDA-NEWS. December 18, 2007. According to international rating agency of Standard&Poor’s and the Agency for Financial Initiatives, “UkrSibbank” has ranked among five leaders in terms of information transparency, reported the press-centre of UkrSibbank.

Information disclosure level to have been produced by "UkrSibbank" in 2007 made up 53,4%, the agency said, which is 12,4% higher than average. In 2006 “UkrSibbank” ranked 7 with 53,3%.

It is important to note that average level of information disclosure, produced by 30 of Ukraine's major banks was 1% below in 2007 if compared with 2006, and more than two times lower than figures by global banks.

Three factors were evaluated to define “disclosure” of the banks: assets and corporate structure, financial and operating information, structure and processes of the supervisory council and top management. The analysis to have been pursued only concerned information to be completely public, i.e. that provided by the banks in their annual statements on official web-sites, as well as that to be found in the reporting to various regulatory authorities.
