OREANDA-NEWS. December 21, 2007. On the eve of New Year's feast Moscow Domodedovo International airport's routes network will expand with new destinations, the airport's press service announces.

Starting from December 22, S7 Airlines launches schedule flights on Moscow (Domodedovo) – Vladivistok – Moscow (Domodedovo) route. The airline will operate comfortable Airbus A310 three times a week.

The novelty of the season is Transaero Airlines schedule flight to Basel (Switzerland) from Domodedovo airport. The destination is very new not only for the airline but for the whole Moscow aviation hub. The airline will operate Boeing 737-500 once a week starting from December 23rd.

In the height of winter tourist season KrasAir Airlines, AIRUNION alliance leading airline, also expands its routes network and launches schedule flights from Moscow to Salzburg (Austria). KrasAir Airlines will become second airline along with Austrian Airlines to operate flights on the route. The airline will operate Boeing-757 once a week starting from December the 29th.

Polet Airlines launches charter flights to Poprad, great Slovakian resort, on the 29th of December. The airline will operate SAAB-2000 once a week.

"Year by year winter holidays are becoming popular among the Russians.  New destinations are very promising ones in connection with annual tourist passenger throughput growth. This year tourist passenger throughput growth will amount to about 22%. The same trend can be seen in total passenger traffic growth of Domodedovo airport," says Daria Korshunova, Domodedovo PR Director.
