OREANDA-NEWS. December 27, 2007. By 2010, UzPromStroyBank plans to increase its total capital to 180 billion soums, including the equity capital of 130 billion soums, the press service of the bank reported.

One of the priority areas of the bank's operation is attraction of the population's idle funds. By developing attractive deposit plans, the bank intends to increase the deposit base to 273 billion soums by the said time. The history of UzPromStroyBank dates back to 1922 – the opening of the Central Asian Office by PromBank (Industrial Bank). Since then the bank has played an important role in the development of the country's economy.

In 1987, StroyBank (Construction Bank) was renamed into Industrial Construction Bank. The same year the banking system reforms were launched, which was intensified after the pronouncement of Uzbekistan's independence.

During the founding conference of the UzPromStroyBank, the bank was reorganized into joint-stock commercial bank. Its founders are the leading industrial enterprises and subcontractor organizations of Uzbekistan.

These days UzPromStroyBank (Uzbek Industrial Construction Bank) is celebrating its 85th anniversary of operation in the market for banking services. Within this period, the bank has turned into one of the market leaders.

Today, the bank has 48 branches, 158 savings desks, 155 currency exchange points and 89 mini banks. At this time, the bank's equity capital makes up 34.6 billion soums, and total capital – 83.1 billion soums. The number of the clients being serviced by the bank has reached 930,000, including 30,000 corporate clients.

The number of the bank's shareholders exceeds 36,100 individuals.
