OREANDA-NEWS. December 28, 2007. "Calculation of a new network rate for oil transportation through ESPO pipeline is planned to be complete in the first half of 2008," said Sergey Novikov, Federal Tariff Service Chief during a press conference on December 26.

He informed that the requirements specification should be prepared in January and calculations will be possibly completed in the first half of the next year. "As for the network rate, all things will be sufficiently clear in the first half of the next year," said Mr. Novikov. He noted that the calculations will be founded on the principles of the income equality with other oil transportation directions. He said in order to make deliveries in this direction economically effective the cost should not significantly exceed the level of the other directions.
