OREANDA-NEWS. January 09, 2007. The Government will provide state guarantees under debts of the national joint-stock company "NaftoGaz of Ukraine" and will consider preferential tax treatment of the company or granting a budgetary credit, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko told journalists after a meeting with NaftoGaz of Ukraine Chairman Oleh Dubina, reported the Official website www.kmu.gov.ua.

The Prime Minister promised to do her best to restore profitability and the status of the company.
Tymoshenko said the Government received a special letter from the national company's creditors, who assume the company has no means to pay off its indebtedness and payment terms expire. "This may bring heavy consequences not only to NaftoGaz of Ukraine, but also to whole Ukraine through decreasing its investment ratings," the Premier cited the letter.

Yulia Tymoshenko promised the Government will shortly tackle the situation, face the challenges and will spare no effort to withdraw the company from bankruptcy.
