OREANDA-NEWS. January 09, 2007. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) initiated a case against the Association of the Centres for Maintenance of Cash Register and Checkout Equipment, under the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Chuvashia Republic, (the "TsTO KKT Association") for breaching Part 3 Article 11 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition", reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The "TsTO KKT Association" breached the antimonopoly by carrying out certain actions on co-ordinating economic activities of companies that can result in setting and maintaining the prices on repair and of cash register and checkout equipment.

According to the petitioner, such actions of the "TsTO KKT Association" can inflict damages upon Maintenance Centres as well as restrict competition on the relevant goods market.

FAS Russia will consider the case against the "TsTO KKT Association" on 31 January 2008.
