OREANDA-NEWS. January 09, 2007. The delegation from the Unfair Competition Regulatory Authority of Mongolia headed by the Vice Chairman Mr. Baavgain Khurenbaatar visited the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation (FAS Russia) on December 20-21, 2007, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

During the visit the negotiations with the Deputy Head of the FAS Russia Mr. Anatoly Golomolzin were held. The Parties exchanged the information on the current activity of the FAS Russia and the Unfair Competition Regulatory Authority of Mongolia.

Mr. Golomolzin informed about major changes in the Russian antimonopoly legislation that have been introduced recently as well as about the activity of the Interstate Council on Antimonopoly Policy of the CIS member-states. Mr. Khurenbaatar presented the Agency's plans for 2008.

The negotiations resulted in signing of a bilateral document - Memorandum on Mutual Understanding and Cooperation in the Sphere of Antimonopoly Policy and Struggle Against Unfair Competition between the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation and the Unfair Competition Regulatory Authority of Mongolia for 2008-2009, that defines key directions of the cooperation development in competition policy and enforcement sphere. The Memorandum establishes the legal basis for information and experience exchange on different issues of competition policy and enforcement, for organizing study-trips, consultations and other events.

It should be underlined that the preliminary arrangements on the study-visit for Mongolian experts to Russia were reached that were welcomed by both Parties.

Within the frameworks of the visit the Mongolian delegation had a chance to meet with the representatives of different Departments of the FAS Russia including the Department for Control over Fuel-Energy Complex, the Department for Control over Industry and the Department for Control over Chemical Industry and Agricultural Complex.
