OREANDA-NEWS. January 9, 2008. In late December 2007, Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov, President of Turkmenistan, met in Ashgabat with Igor Makarov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ITERA International Group of Companies, the press service of Itera reports.

Issues connected with implementation of ITERA projects in Turkmenistan, were discussed at the meeting. Special attention was given to the future developments of oil and gas fields at the Caspian offshore and in Central Kara Kum, as well as construction of gas transportation complexes, carbamide plants, and establishment of iodine-bromine production facility. Igor Makarov informed Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov on the plans of ITERA's participation in financing the construction of branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas named after I.M. Gubkin in Ashgabat and implementation of projects for construction of hotel in Avaza, the National Tourist Zone on the Caspian Sea coast, cycle track and new office building of the Company in the capital of Turkmenistan.

Proposals of ITERA in the sphere of development of infrastructure of the railway and highway services in the country were also introduced to the President of Turkmenistan.
