OREANDA-NEWS. On January 11, 2007 Donbass Fuel and Energy Company has supported the Third International Contest ‘Business Circles Prize ‘PRESSzvanie 2007’ and initiated, within its framework, a special nomination for the best publication focusing on the challenges and development outlooks of the Ukrainian fuel and energy sector (FES), reported the press-centre of DTEK.

This project builds on traditions of DTEK to develop professional business journalism in Ukraine. The Company was a partner of the Second International Contest ‘PRESSzvanie 2006’ in the nomination ‘FES: Electric Power Industry’, when the best journalist was selected out of 19 leading Ukrainian journalists covering power industry issues in electronic and print media.

A new joint project with ‘PRESSzvanie 2007’ has become a follow-up of the creative contest for journalists launched by DTEK last year where key sector journalists were invited to participate. Their works will be assessed by DTEK’s senior management and the results will be announced at the final awarding ceremony of ‘PRESSzvanie 2007’ early March 2008.

‘This project contributes to setting up partnership relations between business and mass media. It is an important tool to form professional and responsible environment in Ukrainian journalism. Now that Ukrainian energy sector is experiencing dramatic changes, it is vital to have these processes covered in a professional and objective way,’ said Sergey Kordashenko, the HR and Corporate Communications Director of DTEK.
