OREANDA-NEWS. January 14, 2008. OJSC CenterTelecom announced that in December 2007 subscribers to its xDSL Internet access program numbered over 300,000. Significant expansion of the territory served by CenterTelecom's DOMOLINK program in the Central Federal District of the Russian Federation has allowed the company to enlarge its ADSL subscriber base. CenterTelecom attributes this to its well thought-out marketing strategy, thorough analysis of the market for Internet access related services, implementation of most up-to-date sales system, managerial control over the DOMOLINK program, and also the service's high quality and guaranteed technical support. In particular, in 2007 the number of subscribers to broadband access service rose 160% from 115,052 in early 2007 to 300,000 users in December.

Vaagn Martirosyan, General Director, CenterTelecom, commenting on the DOMOLINK program's implementation in 2007, expressed the company management's satisfaction with the results of this program. "Continuing growth of the subscriber base together with existing and potential users' huge interest in ADSL Internet access services confirm that the forecasts made by the company's management regarding relevance of the broadband Internet access service in the Central Federal District were well founded. According to our estimations, the number of CenterTelecom broadband Internet access service subscribers in late 2008 will reach 750,000 people. I am sure that the development of such services will be beneficial for our subscribers as well as for the company's business."

In mid-April 2006, the DOMOLINK program was launched in six regions of the Central Federal District: the Belgorod, Voronezh, Kaluga, Lipetsk, Moscow and Tula regions. In 2007, CenterTelecom significantly expanded this geography to include Bryansk, Vladimir, Ivanovo, Kostroma, Orel, Ryazan, Smolensk, Tambov and Yaroslavl regions. In future, CenterTelecom plans to provide not only high speed Internet access on basis of ADSL 2+ technology but also a number of interactive services including IPTV, online games, VoD, PVR and other services based on this technology.
