OREANDA-NEWS. January 15, 2008.  In Moscow, JSC INTER RAO UES (Russian Federation), OJSC Elektricheskiye Stantsii (Kyrgyz Republic), and JSC KazKuat (Republic of Kazakhstan) announced the winner of the tender for concluding a contract for development of the investments substantiation for the project of construction of Kambaratinsk HPP-1 and HPP-2 in the Kyrgyz Republic, the press service of Inter RAO reported. The members of the Tender Committee unanimously decided that Electricite de France and PriceWaterHouseCoopers should be declared the winner of the tender due to their joint tender application. The companies offered a total of 73 819 485 RUB (VAT excluded).  

Tender applications were submitted by three international engineering companies, namely France’s Electricite de France together with PriceWaterHouseCoopers, Canada's SNC-LAVALIN INTERNATIONAL INC., and the UK's Mott MacDonald Limited. Evaluation of tender applications was based on a whole range of criteria, including the cost and period of execution of work, experience in implementation of similar projects, professional skills of specialists, business reputation of the companies, and availability of resources. 

It is supposed to enter into contract with the winner of the tender in early 2008.
