OREANDA-NEWS. January 15, 2007. Ukraine's Economy Minister Bohdan Danylyshyn is predicting inflation of 10,5% - 12,5% this year. He made this forecast, addressing the press, reported the Official website www.kmu.gov.ua.

He noted that the payment of compensations to the former Soviet savings bank depositors in the volume of UAH 20 billion, declared by the Cabinet of Ministers for 2008, will increase inflation by 1,5% more.

In drafting the 2008 budget, the Government included in it inflation of 9,6%. Danylyshyn predicted revision by his Ministry of macroeconomic forecasts for 2008 by the beginning of February. In 2007, inflation totaled 16,6%.
