OREANDA-NEWS. January 17, 2007. Belon Group connected to Tender.Pro system to improve its efficiency of equipment and materials procurement.

This is an electronic tendering system which gives the companies using Tender.Pro the opportunity to hold tenders for supply of equipment and component parts at the specialized website www.tender.pro at any time in the most convenient format for the users and their suppliers. The web-based procurement procedure includes sending automatic notifications with the details of the issued tenders to the suppliers from the Tender.Pro database, which is followed by the generation of a competitive list that contains all the bids of tender participants. This competitive list is a basis for the company’s choice of suppliers.

In December 2007, Belon Group specialists held their first equipment procurement tender with the help of Tender.Pro to buy a roller carriage for the Chertinskaya-Koksovaya mine. The electronic tender experience allowed the company to reduce tender time and the amount of paper documentation required for the tender preparation, as well as to obtain comprehensive, objective and timely information on potential suppliers and their proposed delivery terms, and to considerably decrease the costs of the goods to be procured.

In the near future, Belon Group will hold new electronic tenders to purchase a conveyor belt and an electric locomotive for its enterprises. In the long view, the area of application of this system will be constantly expanding. Belon plans to complete the switch to the electronic system by the midyear of 2008.

Today, the Tender.Pro electronic procurement system is used by the leading Russian production companies operating in different sectors. A total of over 70 purchasers and more than 4,000 Russian and foreign companies offering equipment and services are registered in the system.
