OREANDA-NEWS. January 18, 2007. Petr Sumin, governor of Chelyabinsk region, signed an order to shape up regional demand for metal products for 2008.

The regional demand for technical and industrial goods has been shaped by the decision of the governor of Chelyabinsk region Petr Sumin since 2000 within the scope of regional law on interregional cooperation in production. The measures are taken to coordinate supplies of products and increase workload of regional enterprises.

The plant entered into agreements on priority supplies of metal products with all metallurgic enterprises of the region: Magnitogorsk metallurgical, Chelyabinsk metallurgical and electric and metallurgical complexes, Zlatoust and Ashinsk metallurgical plants, Chelyabinsk electrical and metallurgical complex, Magnitogorsk Steel and Wire Works, Satkinsky Iron Works, as well as “Uralskaya kuznitsa” and “Magnezit” complex.

Within a year, metallurgists will deliver 1,240.4 thousand tons of metal roll to the tube rolling plants, “Ural” automobile plant and other plants, which is a twofold increase vs. 2001. This will help to further develop production and achieve economic sustainability on the market, says the press service of the governor’s office in Chelyabinsk region.
