OREANDA-NEWS. January 18, 2007. The Relief and Technical Assistance Response Project Proposal to the Drought in Moldova is designed to address primarily the emergency needs created by the severe drought affecting the country during the summer of 2007 and builds on the findings of the joint UN Food and Agriculture Organization and the World Food Programme assessments undertaken during July and August 2007, reported the press-centre of ACSA.

Within this project, the National Agency for Rural Development (ACSA) is responsible for transportation and distribution of 7030, 55 tones of winter fodder to about 15 986 project beneficiaries from 296 communities of the Republic of Moldova.

The fodder transportation and distribution started on 5 January 2008 and will be finalized at latest on 20 February 2008.
