OREANDA-NEWS. Beginning 21 January 2008, passengers of S7 Airlines in Novokuznetsk are able to enjoy the convenience of new electronic ticketing technology, reported the press-centre of S7 Airlines.

First and foremost, electronic ticketing technology is convenient for passengers who purchase their tickets on the airline’s website www.S7.ru, because in this case there is no need to obtain the airline ticket at a ticket counter. Passengers simply print out the itinerary-receipt, which they receive by electronic mail, and present it at the check-in counter along with their passports. Electronic ticketsare stored in the airline’s database, making it possible to easily change various trip details either in the company’s sales office or by using its 24-hour customer service line at 8 (800) 200-000-7.

Before implementing the latest e-ticketing technology in Novokuznetsk, a great deal of preparatory work had to be done. In particular, in order to allow check-in by electronic ticket at Novokuznetsk airport, a new passenger and baggage registration system was installed, and S7 Airlines paid to have the sales agents trained in how to use it.

In the near future, S7 Airlines plans to launch electronic ticket technology at the airports of Nadym, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Samara, as well as on its own international flights from Pavlodar, Ust-Kamenogorsk and Urumchi.

Electronic ticketing is already being offered on all of S7 Airlines’ own flights departing from Anapa, Astrakhan, Barnaul, Vladivostok, Volgograd, Irkutsk, Kazan, Kemerovo, Krasnodar, Moscow, Nizhnevartovsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Novy Urengoy, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Perm, Rostov-on-Don, St. Petersburg, Tomsk, Khabarovsk and Chelyabinsk.

S7 Airlines electronic tickets are also available to passengers on S7 Airlines international flights from Baku, Bangkok, Hanover, Dublin, Dusseldorf, Innsbruck, Kiev, Munich, Beijing, Sanya, Seoul, Tashkent, Frankfurt and Shenyang.
