OREANDA-NEWS. January 23, 2008. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov received the Knightsbridge Group international company CEO Armen Sarkisian.

Thanking the Turkmen leader for the opportunity of a personal meeting the guest put emphasis on the Knightsbridge Group Company’s intense interest in establishing co-operation with Turkmenistan that had won the reputation of a dependable and responsible partner in the international business circles.

Greeting the guest the Turkmen leader emphasized that expanding co-operation with the world’s leading companies Turkmenistan relied on introduction of advanced technological and attraction of the best international practices, first of all to the spheres fundamentally reformed.

The interlocutors discussed the opportunities of establishing co-operation in a number of the very promising fields. Speaking briefly about the company’s activities Armen Sarkisian offered the services in applying wireless broadband communications technologies and informed that Knightsbridge Group was ready to act an operator and project investor. The guest emphasized that Turkmenistan would be one of the first countries to put the latest telecommunications systems in practice. The businessman put forward the proposals to partner in the project on construction of the seaport in Turkmenbashi town and expressed the readiness to collaborate in the projects on development and processing of Turkmenistan’s abundant hydrocarbon resources.

Showing the keen interest in the businessman’s proposals Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov said that they complied with the key trends of the reforms implemented in Turkmenistan and were worthy of thorough consideration. The President of Turkmenistan suggested considering the opportunities of the company’s participation in the international tenders for construction of cement works in particular.

Upon concluding the meeting Armen Sarkisian cordially thanked the President of Turkmenistan for the meeting and expressed belief that effective, fruitful co-operation would be established.
