OREANDA-NEWS. January 28, 2007. In 2007 OJSC “Severny Ore Mining Works” and OJSC “Central Ore Mining Works” paid UAH 1,160.1 million into the budgets of all levels, which is up by more than UAH 499 million or 74,2% compared with 2006. Thus the companies have the heaviest tax burden in metals and mining complex of Ukraine, reported the press-centre of SCM.

Net profit of SevGOK and CGOK amounted to UAH 2,458.8 million, which is up by 1,388.7 million compared with 2006.

“In 2007 the companies once again confirmed their status of industry leaders in production and social field and as responsible tax payers”, stated the honorable president of Severny and Central GOKs Alexander Vilkul.

Last year the tax burden coefficient calculated by the method of State Tax Administration of Ukraine (in the ratio income tax on gross income from all types of activity) at Severny and Central GOKs amounted to 6,4 (CGOK) and 7,43 at SevGOK, which is two times more than the average value for the metal and mining companies in Ukraine.

The overall share of profit tax at SevGOK and CGOK in Krivoy Rog City amounted to 24,25%. The overall tax profit share of companies in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast amounted to 14,5%.

In 2007 average wage of SevGOK and CGOK workers went up by UAH 402 or by 23% and amounted to UAH 2,182.

In 2007 the number of jobs at the companies increased by 2,974 compared with 2004 to 20,691.
