OREANDA-NEWS.  On 21 January 2008 the first flight by Blue Wings airline Dusseldorf – Saint-Petersburg – Dusseldorf was operated. Flights will be performed every Monday, Saturday and Sunday by comfortable airliners A320. Aircraft seating provides 138 seats in economy-class and 12 seats in business-class.

Blue Wings airline will operate flights to Saint-Petersburg for the first time and will be the fourth foreign carrier, performing flights from the Northern Capital to the cities of Germany – the most popular foreign direction from the Pulkovo airport. In 2007 passenger traffic on flights to Germany increased by 15 % and made up 636 336 pax.

Blue Wings was founded in February 2002. The airline operated the first flight in summer 2003. The main airport of Blue Wings is the International airport of Dusseldorf. The aircraft fleet of the carrier consists of modern airliners of the A320 family.
