OREANDA-NEWS. January 31, 2008. GRASYS is to supply three membrane nitrogen plants to EFCO group of companies which is one of the major sunflower oil and margarines producers in Russia. The air-to-nitrogen plants will be used for inert environment generation by production and storage of vegetable oil.

In 2006, GRASYS supplied for EFCO Group a nitrogen membrane plant with the capacity of 40 nmі of 99.5% nitrogen per hour. In 2007, in view of increased nitrogen requirements GRASYS engineering service specialists improved the plant capacity up to 60 nmі per hour.

Due to the superior performance characteristics of its equipment and optimal delivery term and conditions, as well as due to other objective advantages GRASYS became the winner the tender for the supply of three membrane nitrogen plants for EFCO. No small part in this was played by GRASYS extensive market experience and proven records of technically complex projects successful implementation.

The nitrogen plants provided for EFCO group are designed for unattended operation with automatic support and performance control and no manned attendance required during operation. The plants technical characteristics were selected to optimally match the customer process needs. Traditionally, GRASYS nitrogen plants has been fabricated on the basis of the most advanced engineering and design solutions ensuring the equipment long-term trouble-free operation. Combining the simplicity of operation and exceptional reliability, the plants allow producing up to 60 nmі per hour of 99.5% nitrogen.

GRASYS membrane nitrogen plants are high-technology nitrogen production systems designed for storage, transshipment and packing of food products (butter, cheese, juice and beverage, coffee, nuts, potato chips, etc.) in inert environment and for generation of controlled environment in vegetable stores. The use of GRASYS plants makes it possible to protect food products from oxidation, moulding, microorganisms and pests propagation.

Today, GRASYS is one of the largest and most reputable companies in the field of gas separation. GRASYS is also among the world leading manufacturers of membrane and adsorption plants for nitrogen and oxygen production, hydrogen concentration, gas mix control, etc.
