OREANDA-NEWS. On January 26, 2007 the International Bank of Azerbaijan has signed an agreement with Azercell which will allow the customers of both institutions market their banking transactions via mobile phone.

At this time, clients subscribed to the service, have the possibility to receive their balance statements, check the account balance, receive SMS after each transaction performed, as well as pay for Azercell mobile services and electricity bills. In near future it is planned to expand the list of operations within MobilBank service.

In accordance with information received from IBA press-service, subscription to MobilBank is a two-stage procedure. First, customer should apply to Azercell customer service office, where he/she performs the replacement of the current SIM-card to a new one, customized for MobilBank service. Second, customer should apply to IBA branch with a special subscription form and in order to get his/her accounts linked to the service.
