OREANDA-NEWS. On 29 January 2008  EMS Russian Post delivered Russian schools licensed software in first mails within the framework of the national project “Education”.

Last Friday EMS Russian Post received the first set of computer software of 3, 600 EMS packages for Russian schools. The company has also got the list of addresses of the schools in Russia included to the program. On 28th of January post delivered first of them to many schools. Ones in Privolzhskiy, South and Central Federal Districts got the majority of them. The project stipulates for 55, 500 mails to be delivered till the end of February.

The project will attract millions of Russian schoolchildren to information society. Participating in it Russian Post contributes to improvement of computer skills education of young generation. Presently children who don’t know all computer programs at school can use computers connected to Internet in public access outlets situated in 23 thousand post offices.

The action is initiated by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of the Russian Federation within the framework of the national project “Education”.

The standard licensed program pack set on PC in schools includes operation system, office applications, anti-virus program, archiver, development tools, graphic editor, photo-editing package, school automated management software, 56 CDs in general. The conditions of licensing enable software producers guarantee legal usage of all versions of the product, including former and next ones within the period of effect of agreement. The programs can be installed at all computers at schools and teachers’ computers.
