OREANDA-NEWS. On January 30, 2007 the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers has endorsed the plan for privatization of the Odesa portside factory, Dmytro Parfenenko, deputy chairman of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, announced during a government meeting. "The plan was endorsed. The starting sale price is UAH 3 billion, auction move being UAH 30 million," he said, reported the Official website www.kmu.gov.ua.

According to Parfenenko, this privatization will proceed according to the Kryvorizhstal sale principle. The auction will be held April 21 or 22.

He said the whole of the factory complex would be offered for sale, including the transshipment unit, but except for the ammonia pipeline. "The pipe does not belong to the company's statutory fund," the SPF deputy chair says.
