OREANDA-NEWS. The Board of Directors of Bank Electronika held its regular meeting on January 30, 2008. The main issues on its agenda included approval of the 2008 budget and appointment of a new member to the Management Board.

The board affirmed its commitment to continue the Bank’s work to refine corporate management. The board likewise approved the 2008 budget of the institution, reviewed reports for 2007 from the Internal Auditing Service and the Department of Financial Monitoring and a report from the Coordinating Committee on Basel 2. It approved a new policy on planning for the Bank for 2008 and a plan for its own work.

In a unanimous decision, the Board of Directors appointed Elena Vladimirovna Vasilyeva to the Bank’s Management Board. Her candidacy had been previously accepted by the Moscow Main Territorial Authority of the Bank of Russia. Ms. Vasilyeva currently heads Bank Electronika’s Directorate for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses.

With Ms. Vasilyeva’s appointment, effective January 30, 2008, there are eight members of the Management Board of Bank Electronika. The other members of that body are Vladimir Vitalyevich Romanov, Dmitry Vladilenovich Samoilov, Evgeny Alexseevich Maiorov, Natalya Alexandrovna Maksimyuk, Lyudmila Ivanovna Ponidelko, Alexei Yuryevich Ulanov, and Marina Viktorovna Upatova.
