OREANDA-NEWS. February 4, 2008. In 2007, Belarus’ foreign trade in goods increased by 26% over 2006 to $53,014 billion.

Export of goods increased by 23.3% to $24,339 billion, imports – 28.3% to $28,674 billion. The goods deficit was $4,335 billion.

In 2007, foreign trade in goods with the CIS countries was up 30.7% to $30,229 billion. Exports were $11,231 billion (up 30.5%), imports - $18,998 billion (up 30.9%). Exports of goods to the Russian Federation made up $8,887 billion, imports from Russia - $17,187 billion, or 29.8% and 31.2% up respectively over 2006. Foreign trade in goods with Russia surged by 30.7% in 2007 to a total of $26,073 billion.

Trade with non-CIS states grew by 20.1% to $22,785 billion. Exports ramped up by 17.8% to $13,108 billion, imports – by 23.4% to $9,677 billion.
