OREANDA-NEWS. February 8, 2008. Gas supply to the Arab Gas Pipeline in the first start-up complex in Syria has been completed. That development marks the begin of exploitation of a 139-kilometer, 39-inch-in-diameter section of the Arab Gas Pipeline, which runs from the Jordanian-Syrian border to the Deir Ali electric generating station in Tishrin.

The Syrian Gas Company is customer for construction of the Arab Gas Pipeline. The project is being realized on EPC terms. The main subcontractors for construction are STG-Engineering and Syrian construction company HESCO.

Stroytransgaz is currently working to complete the section of the Arab Gas Pipeline for the second start-up complex. It runs to the Al Rayan gas gathering station in the area of Homs.
